No-Bake Strawberry Cake
I think strawberries are the prettiest fruit on this planet. Strawberries are not as widely available here in the Philippines, but I am glad we have Benguet farmers to provide us a little bit of this heavenly fruit. I am also glad I have a Resellee App to order fruits and vegetables directly from Benguet farmers.
Strawberries are badass. Botanists call the strawberry a "false fruit," a pseudocarp. A strawberry is actually multiple fruits which consist of many tiny individual fruits embedded in a fleshy receptacle.
The crust is made of butter, crushed graham, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
The filling is actually super simple - just 2 parts of all-purpose cream, 1 part condensed milk, and crushed strawberries.
Then, I just added thin slices of strawberries on top, to make it cute (and hide imperfections!)
And voila! This dessert is super easy and I miss it already! I might try this recipe with banana, mangoes, and blueberries. Everything goes! Ciao.
