Making the Best Pasta Ever

I am the laziest hardworking person, and my definition of "best" is when something is wonderfully made with the least possible effort. Which is why I am obsessed with Spaghetti Aglio e Olio!

I literally had a dream about eating this dish and when I finally tried to make one for myself, I never stopped raving about it.

Literally means "spaghetti [with] garlic and oil," Aglio e Olio is a traditional Italian pasta dish from Naples, Italy. Its simplicity makes it such a great comfort food, some people add shrimps or bacon but I prefer the classic version.

Any pasta such as spaghetti, linguini, or fettuccine is good to go, but I personally prefer spaghetti as the thickness is just perfect for the strong garlic flavour. And, it is readily available everywhere, even in 7eleven stores.

The only note in cooking is being careful with the garlic - it should be gently cooked in a good amount of olive oil just until the edges just begin to color. A good quality extra virgin olive oil can also help elevate the flavor.
