5 Best Apps on My iPhone
iPhone was not built to become a mere communication device. It was designed to be an extension of our personal and work life. With the most advanced computer software installed on an iPhone, developers can take full advantage of its software and hardware features. So as consumers, what can we do to make most out of it? In this entry, I'd like to share with you some of the best and life-changing apps installed on my iPhone.
1. Ted by Ted Conferences (FREE)
Description: Feed your curiosity and expand your world with TED Talks. Explore more than 2,000 TED Talks from remarkable people, by topic and mood, from tech and science to the surprises of your own psychology.
Why: Perfect for Motivation and Inspiration from real life people who made an impact in this world.
2. Pinterest by Pinterest (FREE)
Description: With Pinterest, you can discover, search and save great content from across the web. Use it for inspiration or practical ideas for everyday life.
Why: You can't hit if you can't see! Pinterest is the perfect place to find and organize your inspiration on specific subjects. You can also share your own content to inspire others! A good social media community alternative to Facebook.
3. Headspace: Guided Meditation and Mindfulness by Headspace Meditation Limited (FREE)
Description: Meditation made simple. Guided meditations suitable for all levels from Headspace. Meditation can help improve your focus, exercise mindful awareness, relieve anxiety and reduce stress.
Why: Amazing app for beginners in meditation and mindfulness. The speaker and founder of this app, Andy Puddicombe, is a writer, public speaker, meditation and mindfulness teacher. A great monk who studied the art of meditation for many years.
4. Blinkist by Blinks Labs (FREE)
Description: Where do the world’s smartest people get their ideas? From great books! Blinkist distills the key insights of 1,500+ bestselling nonfiction books into powerful 15-minute reads or listens. Boost your knowledge and gain new perspectives to become a better, smarter you.
Why: No time to read? No problem. This app already summarized the key notes from great books. If you are still too lazy to read the summary, the audio will read it for you. The app is available in premium for unlimited books but you can also get one (1) new free book everyday.
5. Clock App - Bedtime by iOS 10
Description: The new bedtime and wake alarms are found and configured in the native Clock app in iOS 10, within an all-new "Bedtime" tab. The app notes that going to bed and waking up at the same times every day are key to healthy sleep.
Why: This new app feature provided awareness on how to properly manage my sleeping time. It also has good wakeup alarm tones to start your day.
